Cosori Air Fryer Recall: Check Your Exact Model Number

The short answer

Model numbers matter more than names here. Two Cosori models can look alike, share a product name, and differ by a single character, with only one of them recalled.

Step 1: find your model number

The model number is printed on the rating label on the appliance itself, not on the box art and not in the retail listing title. Check, in this order:

1. The underside of the unit.
2. The back panel.
3. The end flap of the original box, if you still have it.

You are looking for a code that starts with CP, CO, CS or CAF. Write down every character including the letters after the final dash. Those trailing letters are colour codes, and they are part of the model number.

Step 2: check the official recalled list

These are the twenty-one recalled model numbers, reproduced exactly from the government recall notice. Use your browser's find function and search for your full code.

Exact match only

This is the part that catches people. A similar model number is not the same model number.

One character separates them. Do not use the product name, the capacity, the colour, the photograph or the retail listing title to decide. Use the code on the label.

If your model IS on the list

The official instruction, quoted from the government recall notice:

“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and request a free replacement unit by registering online at www.recall.cosori.com or contacting the toll-free recall hotline at 1-888-216-5974 Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 5:00PM ET. No receipt is needed to receive a replacement unit.”

• Stop using it now. Not after the current batch, not at the weekend.
• The replacement is free and comes from the manufacturer.
• No receipt is required. This also covers units bought second-hand or received as gifts.
• Register at recall.cosori.com or call 1-888-216-5974.

The notice does not instruct owners to cut the cord or to dispose of the unit themselves, so do not do either unless the manufacturer tells you to during registration. Do not attempt to repair a recalled electrical appliance yourself.

If your model is NOT on the list

Then it is not part of this recall, and there is nothing you need to do about it.

Being absent from one recall list is not a guarantee that a product has no defect and cannot be recalled later. It means this specific recall does not cover it. If you want to check for anything newer, search your model at CPSC.gov/Recalls, the official US source.

Can I keep using a recalled air fryer? No. The official instruction is to stop using it immediately.

What replacement does Cosori provide? A free replacement unit, requested through the recall registration.

What if I bought mine used? The notice states no receipt is needed, so a second-hand unit is not excluded on that basis.

What if I no longer have the receipt? No receipt is needed.

Exactly when were the affected units sold? UNKNOWN, and we will not guess. The government notice we used states March 2019 to December 2022. Some secondary summaries state June 2018 to December 2022. We have not been able to reconcile the two against the US CPSC notice directly, so treat the sale date as a clue and the model number as the answer.
